hi guys,
i got new laptop which has mic in, line out and audio out jacks, so i was wondering if i could plug speakers to audio out and headphones to line out so i can have monitoring when djing?
i am using asio drivers and in asio cpanel i have HpOut3 (headphones), MicIn MuxedIn1 SpdfOut and Speaker1 channels.. i tried to enable them all and select all channels for output in ableton live but i can only play simultaneously on laptop speakers and headphones.. when i plug speakers and headphones i can hear same sound on both.

Depends on the capabilities of your soundcard. If it is a standard onboard soundcard, chances are you cannot have two different sources playing in each output.

it says "IDT HD" sound card.. so i guess i cannot have two different sources playing in each out :/
