It would be a huge timesaver if I could simply cntl-click in the beat-time ruler to set the left marker, and alt-click to set the right marker. Most hosts have a short-cut for doing so. If something like this already exists, please let me know . . I haven't found it in the manual.

Just drag a selection anywhere in the arrange window and hit cnrl/apple + L (for loop)

It is in the manual somewhere, probably in the section called 'keycommands'

I like your idea of cntrl and alt clicking. It would make it super fast since my left hand is always hovering over that part of the keyboard anyway when using Live.

Dude...nevermind. I just tried the cntl L key command and....that's the shit. Sorry!

CTRL - L is ok, but alt clicking ala Cubase / Reason style is in most cases faster ..

Also ... dunno about you guys but ... CTRL - L is quite a stretch, and I have big hands We really need the customizable key commands ..

Thanks for the info. I didn't know about Cntl-L. Thats a big help, but I would still like a shortcut to set the L/R marker.

Ditto on this request, I'm so used to SX and Reason that I always try to do this unintentionally anyway
