hello,
i'm trying to find a way to generate control information for live, out of a vst plug-in made with Cycling 74's Pluggo. generating midi notes and control message that i can see in Live, for instance, would be one possibility.
being able to receive OpenSoundControl messages would be another possibility.
any possibility for these possibilities?
thanks,

From my understanding of the matter, VST's are responsible for providing their own midi support. Unfortunately, I've not seen anything within pluggo resembling midi support of any type, which is kind of annoying because it's something that I would really value (more for midi in than out, though). I think your best bet might be to contact someone at cycling '74 and see what they have to say about the matter.

there certainly is midi implementation in Pluggo. many of the plugins that come with Pluggo are VST-instruments; this work in Live as well as other hosts, so no problem getting midi INTO a plugin. there is also objects for getting midi OUT of a pluggo VST. the problem is that Live does not see this midi...
so it seems to be a thing to discuss with Ableton as oposed to Cycling, espially since i know the cycling people and have already asked about the situation...

Yes, there is a lack of support in Live for VST instruments and effects that may produce both midi and audio output.
I use Plogue Bidule as rewire slave in that case, hosting the VST there, and receiving its midi via midi yoke in Live.
But that, I feel, is not exactly what the question was about?
