I just installed 8.1.4 and now the project I'm working on has lost the files for the samples I was using. The clip is listed, along with it's name, but the waveform is not visible and the track is silent.

Also, when I go to Files/open recent set, a lot of the tunes are written in grey and can't be selected.

I'm on a MAC, and guess what? I dont have a time machine backup ready to go.

If the "recent Sets" entries are greyed out, Live can´t find the sets anymore because they have been either
deleted, moved, renamed or the folder/path where they reside has been renamed.
Try to search for them using Spotlight and open them then directly with the "open set" command in Live.
As for the samples, it´s a similar thing - here you might use the file manager to (let) search for them.
