Spectrum analyser on master needs to be able to be detached.

Ableton.. would you be so cool to enable the spectrum analyser to be detached so it 'floats'... If I attach it to the master, then click on a channel, it disappears.. rendering it a pointless plugin. Obviously if I then put the spectrum analyser on another channel and then click on another, that one disappears!! Im a professional producer who releases tracks and this is driving me nuts! To design a kick Ive needed 7 spectrum analysers open! - crazy. Ive just come across from being a logic user for 15 years. I love ableton but this little gripe is really annoying, I use spectrum analysis alot as a tool with my ears and, whilst I'm here, please sort out the memory issues. In logic I could run 80 channels each going into at least 2 busses, huge amount of plug-ins etc.. with CPU only at 30%, Id be lucky to get a 10th of that power from ableton.

Please sort this out.
Regards,
Jon

apart from these gripes.. nice program btw.

Thanks for the suggestion.. but it does the same thing (even though it floats). If i put on master, then click on another channel it disappears. Silly really. cheers mate..

Check your preferences. There is an option to keep it open.

Or you could use SPAN. More better.

I'm checking it out now (after the several SPAN suggestions in the forums).
Very complex, however there is a great third-party youtube tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3XWm2SyoOY.

imho everything in ableton need to be detached, of course in a live situation you don't detach, but when composing it's a must have
