Want logic to slave to ableton..

I would like ableton to be my master and logic as slave.. can this be done, or is this a logic issue? Its very annoying that when in rewire, I cannot use 3rd party plugs in ableton. If this was so it would also sort out my previous gripe (I would be able to just use logic as a frequency analyser!)
cheers,
jon

Logic cannot be set up as a rewire slave, or slaved to MIDI Clock.

It is not in Logics interest to be the slave. It won't happen.

Agree damn Jobs wants to rule the world.. You'll never see it, neither Logic's AU Synths like ES2 working on other DAWS

there are however, ways to use one DAW's instruments and effects in the other and vice-versa without having to Rewire the two applications... clue: AuNetsend/AuNetreceive and IAC driver (in OSX)

logic works perfect as timecode slave.. but it needs an applikation that is able to be timecode master... ableton live is not strong emough to play that role...
there are workarunds with a smpte timecode able interface... so you can use one audio track within live to send the audio timecode and sync logic via the smpte reader from that...
