Hello,

as a resident DJ of a daily disco in Cyprus I am facing to a problem which might be the end of my DJ career.
After updating my Ableton Live Verison to 8.1.4 my whole DJ set (over 300 perfectly warped clips and several hundred hours of work)
is not functional anymore.

All the time this failure notic appears.

Image

Not a single file is able to be played (all clips are displayed in white with no content), my next gig is just in a few hours.

What should I do? How shall I buy my flightticket home to Germany???

Regards, Marvin

Ok, I fixed it. I reinstalled it and I switched the cache limit "off"

Sorry.

Glad to hear your DJ career didn't end up like this.

Anyhow, a hint in this meaningless failure notice would be very handy! The term "...could not be loaded." is obviously but I want to know the possible reasons!?!

Now you'll be backing your sets/system up obsessively

It was a really strange failure in function, I never experienced something like this before.

Maybe the installation was not successfull or Ableton was irritated by the cache limit, which has been set to 10 GB recently.
(Today I realized, that my DJ set actually requires over 15(!!!) GB of cache)

In the probably most terrible three hours of my life I tried also to load in the tracks of my DJ set again, but they ALL have been
rejected with the failure notice "This file is not licenced or corrupt" (All of them legal downloads from beatport)

I DO backup my live set (always with the function "collect all and save") every 3 days, I also tried to load in the project file from my external "backup" harddrive, but the same failure notice as displayed above was the reaction of my temporarily completly disABLEd Ableton.

Anyway, I am very happy that everything is running like before. Ableton Live is still my production and DJing software of choice.
