Favorite non-native Ableton VST plugin's for DJ'ing?

What is your favorite VST plug-in to use for DJ'ing? I'm looking for 3rd party plug-ins and not the ones that come with Ableton.

Thanks for your input! :)

Pluggo. Do you even have to ask? ;)

More specifically, pluggo's stutterer, freq shifter, chorus, reverb, and a few others that I don't specifically recall.

Pluggo is great, but only for Mac for now, although I hear they are going to release it for PC soon. Or is it already out??? I need to get it if so.

Nothing at all....I love the plugins that come with Ableton. I was just curious if there are any better ones or something different.

If you are into the funky stuff, and you lay beats onto existing tracks, look at Supatrigga for beat shuffling (forum favorite)

The C3 compressor is great for the nutz as well.

Get yer google ready!

Free stuff:

Free: Looper: Elottronix XL.
http://www.uv.es/~ruizcan/p_vst.htm
Brilliant stuff. That expensive psp one only does two bars of looping, the elottronix can do a whole bunch. Good stuff.

Free: mangler: dfx bufferOverride.
http://www.smartelectronix.com/~destroyfx/
Another goodie. It does lfo-driven bitcrushing, buffer underruns and crunchy chorus-ey sounds. Must have for digital-headz

Free: Granular delay: KT Granulator.
http://koen.smartelectronix.com/
" Basic" granular. Good for general delay weirdness, but not Granulab-hotness

Free: Playback phreaking: Supatrigga.
http://bram.smartelectronix.com/
THE best realtime loop-eater. but use it sparingly, cuz we geeks can hear it through 36 layers of overdubs.

Free: Reverser: Reversinator.
http://www.niallmoody.com/ndcplugs/reversinator.htm
A bit redundant, since supatrigga also does this. But this is nice and simple. Works realtime.

Free: Delay: Bionic Delay.
http://www.interruptor.ch/vst_overview.shtml
The best free delay unit around, imho. Modelled on the 'tape delay' in Logic, which isn't a bad place to start.

Free: waveshaper/distortion: Cyanide2
http://bram.smartelectronix.com/
The best free distortion around.

Free: Modulation fx: Kjaerhus classic series.
Bread and butter effects. Very nice in the sync department.

Free: multi-FX: Luxonix 1310
http://www.luxonix.com/home/en/products.html?id=lfx1310
Bread and butter, again, but offers some surprisingly useful fx.

Free: Recorder: Silverspike tapeIt! 1
http://www.silverspike.com/tapeit.html
Use it on individual tracks or to record your master, whatever. Might be useful whilst djing, i don't know.

Pay stuff:

Pay: Mastering: PSP vintagewarmer
http://www.pspaudioware.com/plugins/vintage.html
All the psp plugs are excellent, but this one is just a little bit better, imo. I use it on absolutely everything.

Pay: Mangling: GRM tools Classic.
http://www.grmtools.org/
They just sound better, and do freakier stuff than the rest.

-- There you have it, my absolute favourites. I think i may have left some out, though!?!?

Happy hunting!
Andreas

PS: On a send, try putting a simple delay followed by an autofilter with a wide, slow stereo sweeping filter and a high feedback setting.

PhutBoySlim is great for easy stutters on tap!
Sloper is fun for stretched stutters and other weird effects

Supatrigger. For Breaks, nothin's better.

Agreed with the eariler statement though, Supatrigger sticks out like a loud fart in church to people who know how it sounds - and it can get tired quickly. Use it sparingly, like a strong spice, or you'll just ruin the flavour.

Waldorf's D-Pole, no longer available on the market, was a personal fav. I don't know if it's working for XP these days, (it worked fine on Win 2K and Mac OS 9) but MAAAAN, that was a DIRTY DIRTY filter. Absolutely rottenly dirty.
