Erosion and Vocoder Bug ?
Posted: Fri Aug 13, 2010 2:22 am
Just discovered a strange behaviour in 8.1.4. and 8.1.5.
Maybe someone can reproduce this.
Erosion:
- open a new project.
- insert erosion on an audio track and adjust width and and q amount.
- then duplicate this track.
- the duplicated erosion effect shows a completely different graphical width and q amount amount than the original track. but well at least it sounds the same...
Vocoder:
- Open a new project.
- insert any audio sample on an audio track and then insert the vocoder on the audio track and adjust the carrier to pitch tracking.
- Set Low and High to 300Hz and pitch to any random amount.
- then play the audio.
- the audio sounds wrong unless you touch the High or low parameters and adjust them.
I already reported these problems to the ableton support right before 8.1.4. was released.
The support told me that they were able to reproduce these bugs and they will send this to the development guys...
not sure if this happened .. so .. i hope someone can hear me ...
not the "biggest" problems though but these are "showstoppers" when producing ...
Best !
