mastering GEAR ....

i'm mastering a CD project done almost exclusively in LIVE, but i have a few tracks that i'm bringing in from other sources that I need raise the bar on, and i'm wondring if i need to by a WAVES bundle to get the job done proper. i need HIGH quality, but i would love to cut a corner (or four) if possible ....

i know you guys got opinions. can you tell me a top-o-the-line mastering program i gotta 'ave??

I use the Waves mastering bundle heavily and love it. I've found no equal but some like things like Vintage Warmer.

I'm a big waves user - REQs and L2 etc

but I've just discovered the joys of PSP vintage warmer - god it sounds nice! :D

I agree on that one.
Is anybody using that PSP tube plugin? how does that one sound?

I recently dropped a few vst plugs and started using this baby.
Man, it's effin' awesome, check it out. ;)

I really dislike Vintage Warmer for some reason, just couldn't get into it sound.

for the price of the waves mastering pack you could get it professionally mastered by someone who knows what they are doing without cutting corners??
