So in one post you go from direct quotes, that even idiots like Glen Beck have admitted to being probably the case,
IE our foreign policy in the Middle East of supporting ruthless despots has a good chance of being at least partially responsible, and that if it keeps up it will create more terrorists.
This truth is then turned into said muslim leader being linked to terrorists in the next couple lines you post.... So what is it then? if I'm a white christian republican I can say these things, but if I'm a muslim and do so, I'm obviously a terrorist... wow? No wonder you posted your own possible rebuttal?

You are in fact touting that muslims that question our governments motives and state the obvious instead of keeping quiet are obviously linked to terrorists.
That's pretty far fetched and makes me wonder where you get your informations from? CIA ties?

You apparently interpret the quotes differently and overlook the subtleties of what Abdul-Rauf is saying, you wouldn't be the first, but being that is the case it's not surprised that my statements don't make sense to you. I'll come back to this (when I'm not at work) and post more about Abdul-Rauf.

FWIW, I don't buy into the whole excuse that American policies and actions in the middle east are an accessory and even more so provide an excuse for the extremists to kill thousands of people. They hate the American lifestyle and morals (or lack thereof), they hate that we are the big shots in the west, and they hate that we back Israel against the extremists beliefs that Israel doesn't have a right to exist.

To stay on topic, what's also strange about the Islamic center is that the developer originally planned to build several blocks further away but couldn't finance it, now all of the sudden they are planning to build it in a more expensive location which draws questions about where this money is coming from and who is actually funding it. Which is my main concern, I'm not concerned because it's an Islamic center. I'm concerned about the financing and Abdul-Rauf's involvement.

Greg Gutfield To Open A Gay Bar Next To Ground Zero Mosque To Cater To “Islamic Gay Men”

In fact, it is instead one of the most brilliant pieces of provocations in recent years.Greg Gutfield from Fox News’ Red Eye announced today via his blog that he is actively speaking to investors and plans on opening a gay bar next to the controversial mosque being built near Ground Zero in New York. To make matters worse (better?) the bar will be specifically designed to cater to homosexuals of the Islamic faith. God, this is going to be an exciting block.

Here’s Gutfield’s entire post which he will expand upon during tonight’s Red Eye:
“So, the Muslim investors championing the construction of the new mosque near Ground Zero claim it’s all about strengthening the relationship between the Muslim and non-Muslim world.

As an American, I believe they have every right to build the mosque – after all, if they buy the land and they follow the law – who can stop them?

Which is, why, in the spirit of outreach, I’ve decided to do the same thing.

I’m announcing tonight, that I am planning to build and open the first gay bar that caters not only to the west, but also Islamic gay men. To best express my sincere desire for dialogue, the bar will be situated next to the mosque Park51, in an available commercial space.

This is not a joke. I’ve already spoken to a number of investors, who have pledged their support in this bipartisan bid for understanding and tolerance.

As you know, the Muslim faith doesn’t look kindly upon homosexuality, which is why I’m building this bar. It is an effort to break down barriers and reduce deadly homophobia in the Islamic world.

the comical part (assuming Mr. Extreme is serious) will be seeing the look on the investors' faces when the market share of closet Islamic gay men rush to that bar next to... a Mosque. They'll be pulling in numbers like 20-60 bucks a month... maybe more. After about of week or two of watching traffic drive by they'll have to find a new niche market to 'appeal' to I'd wager.
