Is it possible in Operator to use the portamento feature and not have the notes overlapping each other? I'm trying to make it so that even if there's space inbetween notes the portamento will still happen. I can do this on other synths no problem I just havent figured out how on operator. Thanks!

Have you tried using the Pitch Envelope? It's located in the Pitch shell, i.e., the right-side, 2nd section from bottom.

Maybe try setting the envelope to something like this:
attack: 250ms
initial: -24st
peak: 0 st

Then, in the Pitch Shell set the Pitch Env to 100.

Because peak is 0, when you hit C# the pitch will start low but glide up to C#, regardless of the space in between notes.

Does this help? If not, what's an song example of the sound you're going for?

maybe you can work with silent notes? set the amp velocity so that 0 velocity gives a silent note and create the overlap into this silent note...

Sorry Im just getting around to responding to this. Thanks for the answers guys. There's an easier way to do it on other vst's/synths but I think Ableton might just not offer it. The second suggestion might work but it's not ideal. The first one wouldnt work because the pitch would need to go up or down depending on where the last note was compared to the note after it, and I think that suggestion would only work in one direction. It's for Dutch House production.
