After a lot of muddling and testing and of course failing. I have finally found the inspiration to make a DNB-track. Of course it's not finished, but i got so excited that i wanted to post it!
Let me know what you think!

Hey man, nice ideas! For me the intro drags a little, and that first string note is a little protracted with no variation. I think even a simple filter sweep on the string would make a difference. The drop needs a bigger, grimier, harmonised bass but I can totally see what ou're trying to do. Also maybe increase that snare hit before the drop@ 2.17.
Nice trancey strings, if a little unoriginal and again a little variation in texture would be good. You could also add some risers and vary the drums a little on the finished track.
Good start. Keep it coming!!

He's right, this is a solid first attempt, but I think you could add some more melodic and harmonic changes so it gets more interesting.
You may also want to look into some "rapid" quick attack, quick release, side chaining for increased impactfullness of the drum sounds
I did a drum and bass/dub step original track a couple weeks ago... lemme know what you think!!

Thanks guys,
To be honest the lead sound was actually meant for a trance song, but i got stuck on that one. So i decided to lower the speed and tadaa. But thanks for the advice. I'm definately going to look in to it.
