Does it do it better than ableton?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpO-HT10UKo <-- I don't have this tune, but if someone do it would be amazing with a comparison using the complex mode in live :)

The "complex" stretch is a frequency-windowed stretch, Paulstretch is time-windowed, it's actually closer to Ableton's Tones mode.

The benefit Paulstretch has is that it allows you to tit around with the window size and windowing curve. I've no idea what Tones uses for window length and it's probably a log curve.

Ableton could probably add a few pulldowns to Tones and have an equivalent of Paulstretch without too much hassle. Timewindowing stretches are a lot less mind-bending to create than frequency based ones, so it might be doable without breaking something else (!)

tldr; I have no idea to calculate FFTs, but I have a slender grasp of audio buffers.
