APC 40 track control behaviour

Hello and thanks if anyone reads this.
I have been using the APC 40 to DJ a bit and came across a midi assignment that seemed to suit me well-
emulating a mixer, I assigned both track control and device control rotaries (16 altogether) to control the gain on EQ's
using four bands. The channels go from left to right, and the arrangement is horizontal (as in a mixer). In order to do this, I needed to combine
both the track control banks (Pan, Send A etc.) and the device control banks- lower row (Detail view, Rec Quantization etc.).

Hope its clear so far. To make switching banks easier, I utilized Bome's so that I only need to press on the track select bank buttons (Pan Send A etc.) and that sends a midi message that also sends the shift button message and the corresponding bank select button. This seems simple enough but my problem is that for some strange reason, Send A bank does not update it's Leds, nor is there a reliable pick up from last settings, it just doesn't work well. Funnily enough switching from Send B to Send A can reset the leds but from Pan back to Send A, everything is scrambled.
I tried doing this without Bome's in the background- still same problem. :?:
Anyone else has a similar problem? I searched high and low in the forums but couldn't find an answer.
Thanks for reading this

I cant remember my specifics but enabling the Track and Remote in the Preferences.

Hope that helps ya anyway.

Thanks Alextronica,
The problem seemed to sort itself out the next day without me changing anything really (!?)
Don't know what that was all about but I'm pretty glad.
However as a result the preset now has a new issue which is using the bank 1 rotary assignments
to control various effect macros (now I have to press shift-button 1 to switchback to that default state).
It's possible to use Bome's to shorten the way, just looking for the quickest route...
Thanks for your reply
