Track cannot be frozen due to MIDI routing?

Hey gang,
I've not run into this before, but I have an instrument track that is refusing to freeze. When I attempt to freeze, I get the following message:
"The Track "Massive Rack" :D cannot be frozen beacuase of the routing "3-MID | Midi In."

The :D is not actually in the error message in Live.

The track is part of a group, I tried moving it out of the group, no change. Tried grouping all of the devices in the channel, no change. I changed the MIDI inputs to "No Input" still no luck!

There are quite a few devices in the device chain, I guess I could disable, delete, some and see what happens. I could also just resample to another track. But this kind of thing always nags me!

Any suggestions appreciated.

I guess you got some side chain action going on.

I wish freeze was supported for that as well. Not sure how it would work, but I'd leave that to the amazing Ableton to figure out :)

Edit:
Sorry, didn't see the Midi In-part of your error message. That's a bit weird... No midi channel sending midi info to any of your effects?

Ah,did not even think about the side chaining... good call. But unfortunately, none going on in this track.

Could not find any other midi ins or outs pertaining to this track. I suspect I am missing something. I'll double check things. I just did "resampling" to another track and turned off the plug ins on the original channel in the meantime.

Do u maybe have any feedback routing or have u put any rack's output to an external track? (like returns?)
