hello everybody.

well, i have a little problem i cannot solve. e.g. i have battery3 on a MIDI track. i am working in session view, and there is already a looped MIDI clip playing a kick drum. the battery track is armed, as i want to add snare to existing kick. so, the kick is playing in loop mode, and i am playing snare notes with my MIDI keybord. the problem is, that all of these snare notes are recording onto my MIDI clip. the more i play, the more i record. and i would like to be able to play these snare notes , but not record them. so i can improvise a bit, find the notes i like, THEN record them. anybody knows the answer?

greetings.

thank you so much for your help. just one click of the mouse. the simplicity of ableton, and my blissful stupidity. thank you one more time. you made my day.
