Reset Sampler?

When dropping a wav onto the Sampler, it often seems to determine the correct root key, and can detect autoloop regions. However when a subsequent sample is dropped onto the window, the Sampler settings retain the characteristics of the previous sample.

Is there any way to force Sampler to re-determine the characteristics of the new wav file without having to first delete the first sample from the zone window?

Cheers

Actually it automatically sets the C3 as root key and that's why u hear your loop at its default pitch.

It depends on the wav file...

For instance, if you import the following wav, it will set the rootkey to B1.

example.wav - 1.51MB

I can't download the file. I mostly insert long wav files or loops, so they are mapped to C3.

Try this. An instrument rack with varieties of Sampler and each one with a root key. Then save this rack and use it to layer samples. Also u have the benefit of different filters, lfos and modulation in general for each sample.
