some of you won't be into this at all
but i have found that creating an rrangement from your scenes is
one way to stop the glitches and drop outs in the audio.
i've been using a pro 53 plug in
a ping pong delay plug and my korg prophecy for some controllers inputs.
output is through a motu 828 mk 1 firewire
and as long as you give it plenty of time to actually boot up the set
it seems to play really well.
i'm using a fair bit of automation with 16 tracks and using 4 stereo pairs as audio out.
so anyway basically i've set up all my scenes for various trax rendered loads of the loops into mono AND taken everything out of ram mode that was in it. APART from some of the longer samples.
with all this done
i've put ableton in record and basically played my set through , then gone back and re-edited the arrangement making some finer adjustments , i've done this for each track and it's realy playing back ok.
obviously it takes the jamming aspect out of the performance but to be honest i've still got my hanse full with filters and effects and eq and the arrangement definately helps.
that's the best i could do for now anyway
we still need that upgrade!
