Anybody have any thoughts about some awesome VST's to download. I am currently learning how to use operator properly but in the mean time need same good sounds to produce some more house beats.

Ableton Suite - LPK25 LPD25 APC 40

This is a great tool for finding free VSTs to download:

You can enter criteria for things like your system and types that you're after.

i really like Nexus, but it isn't free :0

This one isn't for download, but if you buy CM magazine you get ZebraCM which is a great sounding and deep VA synth packed into one convenient interface. You have to wrestle with it for a bit since there is no manual, but once you get over the hurtles you'll find it very rewarding. Haven't tried making any drums or percussion with it yet, and I don't think it's suited for that. But it's still well worth the money.

If you're looking for something with a ton of great presets for dance music, maybe check out Sylenth or Predator.

I find that Demonoid has some excellent VST plugins of varying quality.

Check out Trillian if you want some good basslines.

I like to use Audio Damage plugins. Innovative and inexpensive.

Togu Audio Line makes some great free plugins.

TAL plug-INS are my meat and potatoes.

try the OLGA synth too.

You have Ableton Suite... So you have Operator and the AAS synths... they are excellent...

Since you have Suite, I'd heavily recommend trying out Drum Machines for house drum sounds - there are excellent multisamples of some classic house machines in those kits.

Also, as deva mentioned, try out the other Ableton instruments. Search through some of the presets on Analog and Electric in particular, and you'll find some excellent sounds for house production.
