I wonder what version works best for you guys
Its irrelevant. 8.1.5 works for me. It may not work for you.gizmo wrote:I wonder what version works best for you guys
BUT, as you can se from the poll, the 8.1.5 update seem to be the (generaly speaking) more stable version.hoffman2k wrote:

Trying to avoid versions based on other users experiences is pointless.
If Live 8.1.5 doesn't work for you, tell Ableton!
Sure, but if your main concern is stability, then why not go for Live 8.1.6b6 to make sure 8.1.6 is absolutely stable. And if it is not, report it. Otherwise you'll just have to ask others again in the future, without really knowing if it works for you with your gear.DuckieTheAnk wrote:BUT, as you can se from the poll, the 8.1.5 update seem to be the (generaly speaking) more stable version.hoffman2k wrote:

True, but until you tried it, there is no way for knowing for sure which version works best for you. Obviously if there's a very bad version it would be helpful information to know to avoid it. But other than 8.1.3 which messed up MIDI Mappings, the latest beta's all seemed as good/bad as the next.leedsquietman wrote:H2K, you have a good point where studio work is concerned.
However, if you're performing live on stage, unless you're gonna back up things cd-r and use hardware as a failsafe, if the latest version has bugs which compromise your performance, then you write to Ableton but also revert to a previous version if it was less buggy to potentially avoid looking like a clueless c*nt on stage.
