latency problem

I just bought a e-mu 1x1 midi to usb cable and I have a large latency problem (like 4 seconds). I download the latest driver and the problem still there..... Do you think it's because the usb signal is too weak ???

you don't happen to be running a 30,000 meter usb cable do you?

Wow, I have an E-Mu midi2x2 and I am having similar problems, except that it is 17 seconds for me. What's weird is that it works perfectly in Reaper. Were you able to find a fix?

I think the problem is with the e-mu driver and Ableton Live..... I try everything and nothing have work so I decide to return the e-mu to my music store and pay five bucks more for a fully functionnal m-audio midi to usb cable... Sorry for the answer...It's what I did......
