Any idea on how to automate time signature changes? I really think the next big dance craze wil be mixed meter funky latin punk trance. No, really I'd like to do some classical writing, but would like to change time signatures part way through a song. Changing tempo can be automated, how about meter?

After scouring the manual, and posting here with no luck, I'm going to assume that meter changes can't be done with out saving different meters as different live sets, rendering, and finally assembling. Thanks though.

The only thing I can think of offhand is to run Live as a Rewire slave to a host that can handle meter changes, such as Cubase.

I asked the same question once before because I was working on something that flipped between 4/4 and 7/4. Someone suggested that if you just make your global meter 1/4 - I didn't try it because I finished it off in PTools (where i started the job). Could be worth a try. Also, someone suggested putting the time signatures where your scene names go, but I couldn't get that to work.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try rewireing into Tracktion and see where that goes. I have fired up Tracktion since upgrading to Live 4, hopefully it works. 1/4 seems kinda tedious.

Yeah, that's why I finished the job in Protools!
