so, why does ableton take a 4 bar loop when frozen... and then turn it into a 8 bar loop when flattened???

EVERY TIME. ableton ALWAYS dbls my loop length. gahhh... it gets annoying having to constantly crop clip to right length.

anyone else get this?

If you have effects like delay and reverb, the tail of those effects would be cut abruptly if you only had the first pass of the loop, that's why it records 2 passes.
If you don't need it, adjust the clip markers and crop the clip.
