Working solid as a rock in a 16 I\O Mackie Mixtreme based system under XP here hooked to a digidesk with ASIO set at 64 samples. All being controlled from MIDI footcotroler and Novation BassStation.

Not a glitch. If there are problems it's not XP itself.

yeah it's pretty intertmittent right now, just did a 20 min practice set at lunch with no problems at all, but then about an hour or two ago i could barely use the pgm at all with all of the error messages popping up etc...

it's probably another issue, this laptop is brand new and i have had the blue screen a couple times for some other things, device manager says everything is running fine no conflicts etc...so we'll see? going to get our network guy here at work to take a look at the computer.

btw...aside from the problems, what a BIG difference in performance in live with this new laptop. my old one was a toshiba 1805-s273/p3 1ghz/4200rpm 20gig HD/512megs sdram vs what i have now an ECS/p4 2ghz/5400rpm 40gig HD/512megs ddrram...i can run shite that would've made my old computer choke easily.

What soundcard are you using? It's very difficult to get blue screens of death in XP unless bad drivers are involved.
