I've downloaded the whole thing twice and twice it has told me that the ZIP is corrupt when unzipping. This is killing my download quota!

I am currently downloading from the ableton site with the download plugin for Firefox called DownloadThemAll, and when it's done, the filesize is about 1.7GB so everything appears normal until I try unzipping.

Is there a way to verify my download?

Note if I run the executable directly from within the ZIP without unzipping it appears to work

Weird. Does the downloaded file have the correct size? (I.e. have you made sure that the download completed properly?)

All three times that I've downloaded it (twice from firefox and once from Safari) it gives me CRC errors when extracting or testing the archives. First time even though I got an error, the setup appeared to be fine and I ran it, but then it said it was corrupted also.

I thought it might have been 7zip at fault, so I tried just using windows explorer (Windows7 can handle zip directly) but that also failed.

If someone who reads this was able to extract ok, could you tell us what program you used.

I had no problems; used alzip. Ironically, I haven't even had time to actually check out 8.2 yet.

I tried ALzip, my file must be corrupted... which is really annoying considering I've downloaded it THREE TIMES.

A torrent would be nice, that way if anything goes wrong you generally don't have to download the entire thing again.

Are you downloading Suite or just Live? My Suite 8.2 download is 1 760 467 759 bytes.

Downloading the suite. Windows reports these sizes:

Size: 1.63 GB (1,760,467,759 bytes)
Size on disk: 1.63 GB (1,760,468,992 bytes)

So the first one is the same as what you report.

I've downloaded it a fourth time with a different file name and left the first on there so it wouldn't be writing to the same place on the HDD, but still hasn't worked. I have another idea I am going to try and I'll see how that goes!

I tried copying it to my USB drive and testing the archive on another computer, but no success either. I'll probably have to download it somewhere else via a different computer.

Finally got it downloaded (Fifth time)

Downloaded it after booting into safe mode and it is all downloaded and extracted and installed ok, just waiting for the library to be updated.
