Is it a myth that live is just for dj's

Hello and Happy Holidays

I was wondering if anyone was using live to record acoustic guitar and vocals with midi drums or loops and midi bass, if so how are the results?
Is it easy to do with this type of work(acoustic rock I guess)?

I looked on this and other forums and a lot of users say that live is great to write songs with but not to record finished ones. The demo of live is very cool and the simpleness of the program rocks. The problem is I can't save so I can't see the end result.

Is it a myth that live is just for dj's?

Thanks in advance

I use live in the very way you describe. I've never DJ'd with it, and I've been using it since 2.0.

I do all that though it is not "rock" style. It is easy to use and I do it till final mix too.

I use Live as a sequencer.....I'm a drummer in a live band & I use it to play samples/sequences!! & it's been working great! Never failed me! I also use it to record guitar/vocal demo tracks.
