I just noticed that the APC-40 is sold out almost everywhere, which could be a sign for a new delivery from china - or maybe a new product...
I'm not familiar with Akai, do they usually announce their products on a fair or do they tend to surprise their customers with new products?

Just checked the online shops in switzerland: still available.

The big resellers in Europe such as Thomann, Amazon and many other smaller stores (mainly Germany) are sold out... Estimated arrival of new delivery Nov. or later.. that's what made me thinking.

In stock at Digital Village and Dolphin in the UK.

Although I notice the the price has dropped recently in both stores from approx £350.00 to around £325.00...

I just bought a Launchpad, but I don't care. Great to see new cool stuff coming on stream.

I hope Novation come up with a Launchpad with extended controls. (but still bus powered)

possible new apc, possible new audio kontrol from NI..

Well Akai did put out a questionnaire about a month or two ago with stuff like "do you like touchscreens?" "do you like seeing track names?" "motorized faders your bag?" haha...

It's like they twigged the reason I sold my APC for an iPad.

esp. the second one. considering cutting some masks for my lemur touchscreen to have view-independent controls available

New APC would sick! They need fucking 3band EQ knobs above each channel! It's so annoying "DJing" with ableton without them. I know there is a workaround, but why not just add them in? =(

I'd like my APC fine if they'd make the damn thing work properly with Max4Live, like they originally promised.
