Dammn !

just bought operator , LOOOOOTS of drum patches , pretty cool ones , super tweakable, totally integrated in live , easy on CPU,

just put 8 operators on a drum rack add some presets ,tweak them...

8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O

i recomm this synth , at least only for its drumsynth capabilities, and oh its also a great "normal instrumet" synth

yep operator is very versatile and low cpu, can make a wide varierity of sound very fast.
I only use operator for my drums/basses from a while and it let ya shape the sound the way you want, model kicks snares hhoh basses, whatever. i spent years tweaking various vst and i often get better and faster results with a simple operator if well sound designed
for lots of sound categories. there are things where it cannnot be as good such as pads/ambiant ect, but for everything else it rocks.
Despite it's simple apperance it's a very very powerful and quite modular synth.
a great job on this one by abes.

Yeah , i use zebra 2.5 for all my other "advanced" needs, but operator can be pretty complex and u can get any sound out of it basically but for "simple" drum sounds, man it rocks the posibilities of mdulating the sound is great, also becuase with other synths the values for example the pitch in zebra goes from -48 to 48 semitones, wich is then converted to percentage in live, so u have to guess orbe really accurate , so waste of time and inspiration , but operator is a built in synth so the semitones are allready mapped and is easier to automate .

great plug for my needs.

Where'd you find that Plasticlicks was made with Oerator and Devastor only?

i dont know i dont own sylenth, but one of the main reasons i bought operator was that its tightly integrated with live.

try to automate the pitch in semitones in sylenth.. or any other vst.

is a pain in the ass.

Just pitching in with my support for Operator here. I am very lucky that I got it free when upgrading (sorry guys!), but for a while I was trying to give it away because I didn't use it!

Fortunately, I wasn't able to split the free Operator from my Live licence because over time I've come to cherish it. Love the way Ableton plug-ins intgrate in Live, and I love how economical Operator is on the CPU. Oh yeah, and it sounds great! :D

Am currently using lots of instances of it to create a 'sequencing rack' using Novation's Launchpad M4L step sequencer.

I do have a licence for Microtonic which I also think sounds great, but I've just stopped using it as I do everyhting in Live and M4L now. I'm tempted to upgrade to Suite, but having demo-d the other included synths I know I wouldn't use them as much as Operator.

My favourite synth for drums is Zebra.

But then, my favourite EVERYTHING is Zebra.
