Not bad but it seems they just combined the LPD and LPK without adding any features. Transport controls and pitch and mod wheels would have been nice.

2 x LPD8's together would be better.

Even better would be to have a smaller footprint with snap-fit sides so any combination units could be stuck togther.

If they make a fader bank too....

Imagine a whole rack of low cost modular contollers with clip together edges.

I reckon that'll be ideal for a lot of people, at least as a portable option.

I do find two octaves frustrating though, and as said no transport cntrls / pitch / mod wheels.

Anyone got any opinions on the Korg Microkontrol?

$199. outrageous. you can grab the mpk25 for the price.

street price of $99! compared to street price of $69 for LPK or LPD.

A mod button is a must, I have an LPK and I really miss the mod button that the Korg has.

looks sweet. Will be nice as long as the pads don't suck like the MPK series. I love my lpk 25
