Re-trigger clip with different quantize than start quantize

Hi,

Is it possible that if a clip isn't playing, and you set it to play, that it follows global quantize, but then if you re-trigger that same clip, it uses 'local' or per-clip quantize, i.e. a different quantize.

The reason I'm asking is to get an effect where the first launch of a clip is always "in time" and subsequent re-triggers start immediately, until it is stopped, then we are back to the "in time" launch.

Any ideas?

Cheers :)
LW.

So you want to trigger a clip on time, and then trigger it again multiple times against itself? Or perhaps you want to do a st-st-stutter effect?

You might try resampling your clip and loading that into Simpler or something?

You can change its Launch settings on the fly or to have two or more instances of the clip, with different launch quantization settings.

Hi,

Thanks for the ideas. I think two clips with different quant is what I'll end up with.

LW.

I had totally forgotten that you can do this. Thanks for the reminder, 0fps!

Hi,

Are there short-cut keys to change the launch mode btw?

Cheers,
