Turntable n00b/Shure M447h

I'm completely new to turntablism and I just bought a usedTec 12 and an M44 cartridge. When I was setting everything up I dropped the needle on the platter and slipmat several times and when I got everything going, there were no problems whatsoever. But now the needle makes a loud buzzing noise when it's touching the record, even after cleaning both. The needle took a bunch of abuse and didn't show signs of damage at first so i'm hesitant to think the needle is already bad. Any suggestions?
Thank you

Yep! But digital djing excludes analog decks, while ableton users utilize any number of external instruments, including turntables! I know there are some people lurking around these forums who use the same needle...the search function told me so

Check your ground on the turntable to mixer, check the wire connection between the headshell and cartridge. Try a different record?
