Metronome - Routing possible?

Post by agridley » Thu Dec 30, 2004 7:00 am

Hey, can the metronome be routed so that I only hear in my headphones but that the drum parts sound only in the house? I have the internal headphone jack as well as a usb/audio output (total of two different outputs).

Thanks!

... and now the real answer....

yes you can... but not with your computer's headphone jack. You'll need make the outputs on your soundcard into two 'mono' outs... then change the 'monitor out' to the track that you don't want to go out to the sound system... and the 'click track' to ur headphones...

set your 'master' output of ableton to the headphones

route all your audio to the second output (speakers)

now the metronome should be the only signal coming out of the master output
