8.2.1 CPU usage hitting 100% when it was only 20% in 8.1.5

I'm having some issues with 8.2.1 and its bugging me... Tracks that I've started in 8.1.5, the CPU was sitting happily at 20/30%, in 8.2.1 the same tracks are crackling and clipping with CPU useage hitting 100% and over. Anyone else having similar issues or have any ideas how to fix?
I have a core i7, 6 gig, 2TB raid system, running windows 7 pro, with NI Komplete, Rob Papen synths, Arturia collection and Z3ta synths and before installing 8.2.1 could run shit loads of synths without bouncing down or freezing, now with 8.2.1 is clipping and CPU usage it through the roof
Any idea's peeps?

im having the same problem .. been working on a film project for 8 months no probs with anything till i updated to 8.2 then it started to crash .. updated to 8.2.1 and now insted of 8-15% cpu im up in the 80's and 90's... im playing it out on sunday for the first time and im crappin it will crash in the middle of the film... so if you hear of a way of sortin it......

I have a similar issue.
I tried to change to compatibility mode to Windows XP SP3 and the CPU usage was similar to the one in previous versions.

Having this exact problem myself. E-mailed support about is just now. did any of you guys manage to get it sorted?

Wow that was some time ago now!!! But sayin that No they never got back to me or bug fix... I started having midi signal problems too ... I only ended up doing one show then shelved it... will prob use CUBASE in future untill its sorted...

I've just sent a message to ableton about this same issue. I thought updates were supposed to make the program perform better, not worse. I don't know who ableton has programming for them, but whoever it is dosen't know how to program properly.

i am having this exact problem with version 8.2.8. is there a solution that i am not finding?
