Live 8 packs

Hi there,
I hope someone can help -
I downloaded Sound Objects Lite for Ableton Live 8 from the main site, and tried to upload it. I think I've deleted a previous Live Pack as it asks for the Live 8 library basic pack or there will be errors. There seems to be missing files e.g. waveforms, keys etc - do you know if the basic pack is available from the main website and where it is? What is the recommended order that the livepacks should be uploaded and where can they all be found?
Thanks!

Hi, if you're having trouble with your Library, you should first make sure that it's mapped properly. Go to Preferences->Library in Live to check on this. Beyond this, you might consider repairing the Library (under Preferences->Library, note that this may take some time), or installing the latest update of Live. Which version of Live are you using?

That's great, thanks very much! It's all working now, it was the mapping.

I have Live installed on my main computer and on my laptop.
My laptop seems to be missing Library files. I copied a Live Set from the main computer to the laptop. It tells me I have missing media files. These files are in the Session Drums - British Vintage kit. (this happens with other sets too and different files, but this is the example I am looking at now).
The Library on the laptop says I have British Vintage Lite(Funky) and British Vintage Lite-Stick. No "British Vintage". Now that I look, it looks like I am missing a lot of Session Drums stuff.
I tried installing the Program only version of 8.2.1, and then I did a complete install of 8.2.1, but it didn't seem to install the library again. (It took only a minute to install.)
I tried repairing the library - it did something, but didn't add the missing files.
What gives? How do I get the whole Library, or force it to install the library?
I have no idea what the extent of what I'm missing is. I just know that sometimes, the standard install on the main computer includes library files that can't be found on the laptop.

Session Drums comes on DVDs - did you install from those DVDs on the new laptop? Session Drums is not part of the download version of Suite.

I did. I installed everything from the DVDs. But when I upgraded to 8.1 (and now 8.2) I seem to have lost some of it.
Can I just reinstall from the DVDs? Or would that mess up the library/versions?

Have you checked to make sure your Library is mapped correctly? Have you changed the location of Live or of your Library since you updated?

No, it's in the default location. I haven't done anything to it. I initially installed 8 off the DVDs, then I upgraded to 8.1, then 8.2. That's it. I didn't customize anything except the location of my vst folder.

Try reinstalling the "British Vintage" pack from Session Drums.

That seems to have solved it - thanks!

For future reference... any other peeps missing files... I recently had to do this. Took me a while to figure out that session drums was not coming from the website no matter what I tried, repair etc. Once I dug the DVDs out life was good and my drum selections were long again.
