there is a fanTAStic facebook group dedicated to the sharing of knowledge and experiences among ableton live producers- one aspect of this group that helps that is a shared dropbox account. If what you're trying to do is share your project with others or see other producers projects, i suggest you join the group. It is relatively new group and it is in its exciting, relatively small stage, being driven by individuals passion for production

The group admin is currently working on a website abletoncommunity.com to decrease the boundaries between producers who meet on the tha internets. very cool.

+1 on dropbox.
It's been great so far sending things back and forth.

There is a drawback with Dropbox. Any shares you join are counted against your own quota.
Maybe it's not a big deal in practice, I don't know from personal experience, but it would seem there could be issues with that.
edit: small typo

Yeah sounds good ... Has anybody dropped some extra cash for expanded dropbox GBs? I would need to haul kinda big amounts of data ...
Cheers,

Downside to dropbox, all members can delete files, they are saved forever but i'm constantly having to undelete stuff....
Would be better if i could give invites with read only status....

Yes.
They are working on permissions... Should be ready by the time share hits shelves

Agreed, permissions would make dropbox pretty much perfect = 100$ a year for shareable disk space of 50 GB
Permissions would be ace!

That looks really cool, but do the other users have to pay to sign up for the service or is the cost borne purely by the folder owner? I'd be happy with that but not if other users i invite have to pay to access the content....

I posted this in another thread a few weeks back. it's an alternative you can use until Ableton share is good to go...
A good way to collaborate on a set (as long as one of you do not have a newer version of Live than the other) is to use Dropbox, it is a free online file sync application which is cross platform, Windows, OS X, Linux & even iPhone / Android. It's totally integrated with your operating system and just shows up as a folder (the contents of which, are uploaded online and synced with any other computer you may have Dropbox installed on). You can set up a shared folder with anyone you wish to collaborate with and put the Live Project in that folder (just remember to collect all and save). It takes all the hassle out of sending files back and forth and it is uber simple to use
You get a totally free 2GB of space and if you sign up via this link you (and I) will get an additional 250mb added to our free space (up to a huge max of 10GB) everyone wins...
https://www.dropbox.com/referrals/NTM2NjIwNjI5
To say it's useful is an understatement. Oh and I forgot to mention that as soon as you sign up you just follow 5 simple tutorial steps that are on the site and that nets you an additional 250mb too...so using my link and doing the 5 steps which takes about 5 min gives you an instant 2.5GB of space
Excuse the copy paste nature of this message, short on time as i'm at work, just thought i'd give you the opportunity to get some additional space.
