This is a pic of a rack I did not create. You can see the person was able to change the midi Out note from the default C3 to something else. Can someone explain how that was done? I don't remember were I downloaded the rack from. It's a drumrack to trigger drumazon, but he/she didn't include the rimshot/hand clap. I'm trying to do so myself by adding in a few more External instruments (see it's highlighted), but i can't change the midi out note to anything but C3, notice all the others Hi Tom, Ride, etc all have different MIDI note Out, but my ext instrument is C3
how did this person change it???

Normally thats where you would change it, right where you see it. Not sure why it's not letting you change it there? Is there some type of conflict happening with that particular note out? I'm just guessing really.

you're referring to the NOTE OUT correct? I can't chage it at all.

I wish I could be more help. I have never used the Ext.Instrument in live. Just routing out of Live to things like Reaktor.

I've done a similar setup with GURU and that is where you would change it. My suggestion is to rebuild the rack from scratch in another track.

Well, if you want change A NOTE to something else, you will need to use the pitch midi plugin.
This Ext. Instr. plug-in in used to send a signal to any PORT/Channel you want. Pretty neat to do all kind of dummy clips run time !
Have fun

I figured it out, but it was a fluke I have to say...
so I highlighted the MIDI NOTE OUT box and I was unable to change it, there's no drop down (like the NOTE IN box has), I could not use the UP or DOWN arrows, nor was I able type in the letter of the note I wanted, but I "accidentally" moved the ball on my trackball (yes I still use one) and *THAT* allowed me to change the MIDI NOTE OUT. So since this was a "fluke" I dunno how else I would have been able to change it; If you've been able to what keystroke or mouse movement have you used? Do you all get a drop down list like I see in the MIDI NOTE IN? it works, I'm happy about it, but it's a bit strange I fixed it on a fluke movement of the mouse...
