wat wires do i need to connect use my djm800 with ableton

iv got a midi to usb wire
djm 800
laptop
do i need anyting else to work them ./
also what setting in ableton do i have to set or change .............
please help

I you wanna use a mixer you have to get a soundcard with at least 4 outputs,assuming you wann mix 2 stereo sources.

you`ve got everything you need, just open ableton after mixer and it should recognize it?
in options > midi set the Remote to "ON".

DJM 800 is a dj mixer. No midi. Unless i am completely mistaken.

it has midi support, he can be used as a mixer and a midi controller at the same time, any of it`s knobs and faders can be assigned....

Depends what you are trying to do with them?
Midi control of ableton? Get sound out from ableton through 2/4/8 line ins for mixing on the DJM?
