hi,

is it possible to have the bar-measures in clip-view with unwarped audio files?
& then also the positioning of start & end with quantized steps regarding the bar-measure-headline?

Hi, you can't have the grid view in an unwarped clip. If you're looking to trim a clip, you can do this while it's warped, then unwarp the clip and have the unwarped cropped selection.

thank you & the idea could be good.

but i have the experience that toggling between warp and unwarpped clip will change the appearence (length) of the data because in the warp-mode the audio-file is interpreted regarding "Seg. BPM". i often have the case that "Seg. BPM" shows a wrong tempo in cases i know the original bpm.
so i think your suggestion won't work. because changing the length by toggling to unwarpped can not hold the same portion of file in a fixed bar-length.

my workaround is to move the orignal unwarpped file into the arrangement view & trim it there. then you can "reimport" it into the seesion-view.
but this is really inconvenient. because for detailed moving & cutting you have to open the track adjust a large zoom on the track, ...
so for for me this is only a "workaround".

or do i see it wrong or misunderstand you?

Hi chrom, I think you're missing the cropping step - after you select specifically what section of the sample you want (this should be within the loop bracket), right-click on the clip and select "crop sample." This will leave just the selected portion of the sample in the clip.

ahh ok, i tried a while.

i think it work now, thank you.

but there are also two things to regard:

1.) you have to set the "Seg. BPM" to the tempo of the song if you want to avoid warp-"resizing" of the audio files e.g. when you work with one-shot-sounds instead of loops

2.) you have to set the borders for the cropping & it's not only the loop-borders but also the start- point. & there are unfortunately no possibility to set the sample-end via bar-length-adjustments or a set-command like "set loop-start to sample-start" to synchronize them.
but you can handle it by among others "set 1.1.1. here", ...
