i don't want to warp some audio clips so they can be free of audio degradation, but i can't find a way to edit their envelopes without putting them into midi tracks?

no way, sorry.
You have to warp to edit envelope windows.
I think every live user has passed by this at least once.
Don't worry about audio degradation, choose the mode [beats, pitch or complex(pro)] which would suit the best for your needs and go.
THe only thing you could do, send audio to another track, don't forget to monitor in, then put some dummy clips where you can edit envelopes.
But here you could only edit some FX rack devices and sends.
have a good day

note that if you enable warp but set warping engine to pitch, if same timeline they won't be altered,
and you can use then the clip envelo^ppe?

the pitch/beats mode do not alter the sound (you can easy show it by a phase test) if your clip tempo is the same as your project tempo. there is no reason not to warp a clip if you use the right settings.

Warp straight to the current tempo and set warp mode to beat mode. In theory this the same as no warp at all in terms of impact on audio.
