trying to use live 4.04 as rewire slave in logic pro7

live is not accepted as rewire slave.

error message: "The Rewire master application has detected a different version of Live than the one last used. Live will not run as ReWire slave unless you restart the current ReWire master application and Live'"

some solutions have been reported in the forum but none of them work out on my system.

what i've tried til now:
logic prefs trashed
live prefs trashed
Friedemanns advice in forum did not work out either

Ableton Live Engine Alias points to app
Ableton Live Engine Alias trashed
rewire engine trashed
rex shared library trashed, newly installed


live and logic both work perfect in standalone


mac PB 1.5, 1gb ram
osx 10.3.7
logic pro 7
live 4.04
rewire 1.4.7
rex shared library 1.5.4
no network, no internet

do you have several version of Live on your computer?
Do you have started Live 4.0.4 at least once stand alone?

just one version installed: 4.04

in standalone it shows on start: rewire enginge installed (after trashing the prefs). in standalone i have no problems at all...

also logic pro7 works fine in standalone.
