CPU load before glitches start?

Hi all,
Just curious: what sort of CPU load (as measured by Live's CPU meter) do you guys get before your audio starts to crackle and pop? At 5 msec latency, I start to get glitches right around 35% or so, which seems kind of low. This is all under XP Home, with an SB Live using the kx drivers. I'm wondering whether switching to a better soundcard, say an Echo Mia, might let me run a higher CPU load without the glitches, even without upgrading my CPU.
Thoughts?
