Akai MPK49 issue

Hey Guys,
I seemed to have lost control over my Live instruments etc.
When i first got the unit it was fine. But now it has stopped auto mapping itself to the instruments.
The faders are still good.
And the only way I can get it to work is to to fix the effect or instrument to a control surface, which then makes it stay on that instrument even when i go to another channel...
Have I not set things up properly?
Help would be awesome.
Cheers.

Did you dump the settings and remap?

I tried the dumping in the ableton> preferences>midi but it had no effect.
The stupid thing is that there is no preset on the MPK49 disc for ableton live.
I had a look for it as I thought I could re install the settings.
Every other preset on the keyboard has a back up on the disc by the look of it...

This just happened to me. Do a factory reset and the LiveLite mapping will return to normal.
Can't remember the sequence offhand, but it's not hard to factory reset. It's in the manual on the Akai site.
