Midi recording in Mix mode of The Bridge

The Bridge rules. I can now combine everything I work on into one set seamlessly. Ive got a question about midi devices used when recording mixes in serato through the bridge. I use the Ecler Nuo mixer, which has midi functionality. Can I have ableton record my crossfader motion from the Nuo while recording a mix out of serato? Can I do this without opening ableton?

In order to record mixer automation to a Mixtape set with The Bridge, you'll need to user a Rane mixer.

What if I do run ableton at the same time and map/record the midi data from the crossfader on my mixer to ableton. Will it not record automation from non rane products when in bridge mode?

When trying to sync serato to ableton sometimes it tries to match the bpm to half the speed. Is there somewhere I can adjust this? Also as far as setting beat grids, is there any way to read how all the files are warped in ableton and apply that to a beat grid? All my files are already warped in ableton (finally) and i would LOVE to not have to do that again

Hi, mixtape is recorded within Serato Scratch Live, without Ableton Live open - as such, you need a Rane mixer in order to get fader/EQ/crossfader/gain to record as automation.

As for beat-gridding and warping, you will have to do these separately for any tracks that you want to use in both Live and Serato Scratch Live.
