Shouldn't there be a section devoted to The Bridge?

Just wondering why there isn't? Isn't this an important, and possibly distinctly different enough topic from regular production work, for Ableton to promote to DJs?

Maybe there isn't enough interest, but there seems to be a need to educate DJs who don't know enough how to use Serato's SSL (and eventually Itch) with Ableton successfully.

Maybe this could help?

I know what you mean, i thought there would of been alot more DJ's posting there ideas of what they were doing with The Bridge, it is such a great programme that we have waited for a long time, even on Serato forum there is not much nicker droppin info !

Maybe because not that many people are interested in it?

Not going to succeed if it isn't given a push... I would imagine that Ableton would want it to do well given that it put resources into making it a performance option.

They're currently doing a tour around the states showing it off, though I have to say the Seattle one was a little under-whelming. Most of the questions were along the lines of:

"can it do this?"

"ummm... no, sorry."

"What about this?"

"Err.... no, not yet."

I think there's definitely an interest in it, but from a pretty small user-base that actually has the hardware to take advantage of all it's features. But you're right, there's definitely a lot of DJs out there who don't quite understand what it does, and how it benefits Live users and not just Serato users. Err... including me.

im not too interested at the moment as theyve only come out with the bridge via scratchlive, so dvs only. Once they introduce itch support, i plan on trying it out with a numark v7, but not too interested in lugging the vinyl version...

I think itch support would help a lot for sure.

Much as I'm interested in Bridge, I can't really justify the plunge if it doesn't allow you to run serato audio through ableton effects. Most of the reason I stick with Ableton for djing is my custom effects racks.

ps How's it going, Rob? :)

I still say the major reason The Bridge is getting the MEH is because people were hoping for a Serato device plug-in within Live, not clip launching in Serato. I haven't seen any of the Q&A sessions but I can speculate that all the questions they are answering "sorry, no" to would be a "yes" if they released a Serato device in Live instead of what they came out with.

I shut out all the hype when they started saying " woww you can scratch your liveset! finally we can control our livesets like a DJ deck blah blah" but then you find out it only scratches forward?
