Mixing With Ableton Using Hardware

Do any of you use a lot of hardware eq's, compressors and limiters when mixing Ableton tracks?

Can you offer any basic advice on how to do this? I've been exporting my tracks to Pro Tools for mixing, but I'd much rather do it all in Ableton to save time.

IMO, don't do it. The complex I/O just kills productivity, plus you have to deal with latency. I used to use some outboard gear, but I'm all soft-gear now. If you want awesome emulations, pick up a UAD-2 card with physical models of the vintage gear. It sounds breathtaking. Cheers!
