Live (8.1.4) hangs upon "initialising program"

I had a crash with 8.1.4. one hour ago and since then it won't open anymore. It hangs with the startup screen saying "initialising program". I deleted the preferences.cfg file but it didn't help. I tried the latest version (8.2.1) but it didn't help. I changed the name of the usual VST-directory but with no luck. My only fault was to open a plugin (Multiband Harmonizer) that worked before.
I've been quiet for a long time though experiencing unstable situations and crashes for months. Sorry guys, I'm almost done with Live and its various problems varying from version to version, I tell you.
