Audio 8 sound dropping out, optimum set up for with Ableton

A quick one hopefully...
I just bought Traktor Scratch pro with the Audio 8 soundcard... I was wanting a 4 channel soundcard and since Traktor is half price just now I thought getting the Audio 8 soundcard for £260 with Traktor wsn't a bad deal
I am wanting to use the 4 channels on my Pioneer DJM800, with 4 channels on Ableton, the same as if I had 4 decks so to speak. The set up of the Audio 8 soundcard was simple enough, but I'm noticing little drops in sound on all the channels now and again. I thinkis its most likely a audio set up issue, so I'm wondering if anyone out there uses the Audio 8 soundcard with Ableton and if they know the optimum set up for using it with Ableton?
