Tacklebox - Install Problem

I received my copy of Tacklebox, however when I try to install it, it says:

"Ableton Live does not appear to be installed for this user"

I have emailed Track Team, but if anyone can shed any light on this I would appreciate it, as I need to get on with a project.

I'm on OSX / Live 4, etc.

Thanks.

where you logged onto the user account that is also the user account where Live is installed?

I believe it installs the presets, kits and patches into the Library of "User" on OSX.

Hi Adam. Thanks for the reply. I have Live installed in the main Macintosh HD/Applications. I then have two other "User" accounts which I switch between. I would have thought if installed as Root, it should work irrespectively?

It's per user. The settings for ableton Live are user specific. including the ability to unlock.
On osx 90% of the preferences for audio (or other) apps all go into the user library.

cheers

Thanks. I've reinstalled Live into my main User/Applications, but Tacklebox still doesn't seem to find it..?

Jason,

I have responded to your email and am awaiting your reply to walk you through this. I can see from your post what the problem is and it's very simple. For everyone else, it is not best to post tech support issues for our stuff here as TKLBX is not an Ableton product and we don't always monitor this forum for such matters. Thanks.

Talk Soon,

TrackTeam :)

*EDIT* Glad we got that sorted out in private Jason.
Note for TKLBX owners: TKLBX and Live's settings are user-specific. So be sure you are installing TKLBX under the user you use Live within.

Just wanted to let people know that TrackTeam support got in touch with me almost immediately, and we spent 20 minutes on an international call (USA>UK) at their cost. We have now resolved the matter.

I was very impressed by the level of service offered, relative to such a low-cost product.

How long does the Tacklebox take to ship to Norway? I ordered mine on Dec 22 and still haven't heard from them...I do have my PayPal receipt. You'd think TrackTeam at least could have sent me an order confirmation or something...

Edit: Sorry...I'll get in touch with TrackTeam before I start complaining here...

For privacy reasons we do not respond to details of people's orders live on the web. Cases such as these can be quickly resolved by contacting our customer support directly via email. For anyone wondering about our shipping times; 2-4 days in the U.S. and 2-7 days worldwide. International orders are subject to possible Customs inspection and duties, not something we can control. Though we have not had any problems thus far with either.
Details can be found on our site next to every shopping cart button.

Thanks,

TrackTeam :)

Yes, I am sorry for posting about that, I did not mean to try to slander TrackTeam. I actually ordered the tacklebox immediately after they announced it over at KVR and I have no doubts that they are a serious company.

They answered my e-mail promptly yesterday and I'll follow up directly with them.
