Hi,

I'm a DJ and i wan't to mix tracks live on Ableton (like Sasha).

:x I'm going crazy, since i don't know how to import an MP3 track from my music foler to the channel in the mixer...
I've tried to do it through the browser on the left, but when i open the music folder, the list of the MP3 tracks do not appear, so i can't drag one to the channel.

Please help !!!
Thanks
T

You can also set Winamp´s output to output wave files to harddisk, make a playlist, set a dir and tell it to play the whole playlist. That´s way faster and less involved for groups of files. just remember to put the setting back after you´re done....

there are a few free apps to convert quickly to wav

such as

http://www.download.com/Able-MP3-OGG-to ... cnetReview

which I picked at random because it was called 'able' :)

i found the quickest way to do this is to open toast and drag/drop the mp3 into it like youre going to make an audio cd.

then go to file and "save as disc image" to your desktop or sound folder.

this takes all of 20 seconds and then Live sees and plays the disc image just fine.

if you have a pc....buy a mac...hehe jk
